The Hillcrest Run for Shelter 5K and fun run will begin at 8 a.m. October 15 at HarvestFest.
The event, which was organized by the Pulaski Heights Methodist Church, will benefit the efforts of Little Rock's Canvas Community to "end homelessness one life at a time."
Runners and "virtual runners" may register on line at runforshelter.net. Runners can help raise funds by getting friends to sponsor them, and virtual runners can support the cause without actually running in the race. Race fees are $30 for adults and $15 for the kids' fun run. Registration closes on October 12.
