HarvestFest Is October 15 in Hillcrest

HarvestFest Is Bigger
Than Ever This Year

Don't miss this year's HarvestFest October 15 in Hillcrest.

"HarvestFest is twice as big this year. We have four streets instead of two, and we have two music stages. I think it is an accomplishment," Sylvia Payne, HarvestFest publicity chair, said.

The day-long event will be held on Kavanaugh Boulevard between Walnut and Spruce streets.

Early activities include a 5k, an Audubon birding walk in Allsopp Park, and a pancake breakfast cooked by the Hillcrest Residents Association at Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church.

There will be an antique car show, a cheese dip contest, and a fashion show at Box Turtle. Kids will enjoy Radio Disney and other children's activities.

It's a good time to show your green side. Goldman & Company will be shredding paper and accepting electronics for recycling.

This is the music line up for the West Stage, located in front of Delta Bank:
1 p.m. Mandy McBryde
2 p.m. Rob & Tyndall
3 p.m. Boondogs
4 p.m. The Salty Dogs
5 p.m. Jim Mize
6 p.m. Bonny Montgomery &
Montgomery Trucking
8 p.m. Mulehead

The East Stage, located in front of River Rock Realty and Box Turtle, will have John David at 4 p.m. and The Elise Davis Band at 5 p.m.

A portion of HarvestFest proceeds are donated to the Center for Children and Families and the Allen School.
